Macedonian Dental Review

Macedonian Dental Review is a magazine published by the Faculty of Dentistry in Skopje and the Macedonian Dental Association (MSD). In printed form, the magazine has been published since 1977, and in 2013 it has its electronic form, on CD.

The journal aims to reflect the scientific and practical achievements, to establish a link between Macedonian and world dentistry, which will enable dentists to improve the oral health of the population.

Following the current topics, translating the top scientific achievements into applicability are the reason for the decade-long existence of this journal.

The journal has an editorial and advisory board which together with the editor-in-chief, prof. Dr. Gj. Ivanovski, and his deputy, prof. Dr. Elizabeta Gjorgievska, take care of the selection of the manuscripts that will be printed, as well as the fulfillment of the strictly defined criteria given in the guidelines for the authors of the papers.

In 2017, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the publication of the first issue of the magazine, all issues of the magazine were digitized and they are publicly available on the website of the Faculty of Dentistry. In 2018, the journal met the required legal criteria and started publishing as a journal in the group of such printed materials with an international editorial board.

On the pages of the international journal, the Macedonian Dental Review, there are also texts by foreign authors, which in itself speaks enough about its reputation.

The Macedonia Dental Review was published twice a year from 2006 to 2011, consisting of 3 parts. Through the sections “Chronological part” and “Thematic part”, information on current events in dentistry was briefly presented. In the third section, “From the seminar”, lectures of renowned experts from the country and abroad were introduced which were incorporated in the seminar programs of the Continuing Education organized by the Faculty of Dentistry.
